How accurate is the AI transcription?
We use the most advanced transcription models for English, Dutch and 50+ other languages. Audio with clean recording quality produces excellent accuracy. With background noise, overlapping speakers or strong dialect, you can always fine-tune the result in our built-in editor.
Which file formats can I upload?
All common audio and video formats: MP3, WAV, M4A, MP4, MOV, WEBM, OGG, AAC and more. File size limits: Free 15 MB, Plus 100 MB, Pro 250 MB, Pro+ 500 MB per file.
Can I record live in the browser?
Yes. All paid plans (Plus, Pro, Pro+) support live recording directly in your browser. Hit record, run your call or lecture, and the transcript appears automatically when you stop.
What is “chat with your transcript”?
A built-in AI chat that knows the full context of your recording. Ask things like “What did speaker 1 say about the budget?” or “Make a list of all deadlines mentioned.” No more scrolling through long transcripts.
Can speakers be detected automatically?
Yes — with the Pro+ plan. Speaker recognition (diarization) automatically distinguishes different speakers, perfect for meetings, interviews and focus groups. Pro+ includes 200 minutes of speaker recognition per month.
Can I export my transcripts?
Yes — to TXT (all plans), DOCX (Plus, Pro & Pro+) and PDF (Pro & Pro+). You can also bulk-export multiple transcripts as a single download.
Pricing & plans
What if I need extra minutes mid-month?
You can buy one-off credit packs from €9.99 for 60 minutes. They are valid for 1–6 months (depending on your plan) and don't require a subscription — they kick in once your monthly quota runs out.
What happens if I go on holiday?
Nothing — you can pause or cancel any time from your account settings. No long contracts, no hidden terms.
Can I try ForgetLess for free first?
Yes — just start on the Free plan. You get 20 minutes of transcription to try, no credit card required. Upgrade to Plus, Pro or Pro+ in one click whenever you need more.
Which payment methods do you accept?
iDEAL, credit card (Visa/Mastercard) and PayPal. All payments are processed securely; we never store card details ourselves.
Do you have a fair use policy?
Yes, but it isn't a scary one. You're free to use the full minute allowance of your plan — that's what you pay for. The fair use policy mostly prevents a small group of users from overloading the service — think multiple accounts to dodge limits, automated bot use or reselling. When in doubt, we always reach out before restricting anything.
Security & privacy
What happens to my recordings?
Everything is encrypted and stored on EU servers (Western Europe). On the Free plan, audio files are deleted automatically after 7 days; on paid plans, you choose your own retention period. Your transcripts stay available as long as your account is active.
Do I need 2FA?
Two-factor authentication (2FA) is optional but strongly recommended for extra account security. For administrators, 2FA is required. During registration, we show you exactly which password requirements apply.
Is this GDPR-compliant for business use?
Fully. For business customers we provide a pre-filled Data Processing Agreement (DPA) and Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA). Email [email protected] for the PDF.
Can I export my data or delete my account?
Yes — from your profile settings you can download all your transcripts as JSON and permanently delete your account. We fully support the right to data portability and the right to be forgotten.
